A Taste of vintage, experience the vibrant neighborhoods of Salt-River & Observatory
Salt-River has become step by step a mix-used area connecting to Woodstock. It was the industrial epicenter of the city, due to its proximity, where the first Railway took place in Cape Town, making exchange in all purposes with a mixed population.
From this multifaceted area, We will see various contrast like a textile factory industry designed during apartheid where segregation was manifested in its design, and next door the contemporary Academy Zip zap circus building designed as a tool for the practice of circus and also for the freedom and unity.
Observatory, an artistic and vintage precinct close to Salt River, has recently seen some new housing programs.
The Bijou, is an Art Deco building and that was once a cinema, is now owned by Conrad Hicks, an artist blacksmith.
An instructive and friendly experience open to everyone.
